Aubré Salas
I grew up in New Mexico and now call Austin, Texas home. I am a lifestyle photographer in love with my job and everything that comes with it. I appreciate the people I meet, the places I go, the hours I keep, and the spontaneity of each shoot. My childhood nickname “Gypc,” truly defines my perspective and influences the intention of my work. Much like a real gypsy, I embrace the constant movement and energy of my trade. In the gypsy tradition, I embrace any opportunity to be flexible and mobile in order to respond to the needs of my clients. I am ultimately fulfilled by the knowledge that striving for excellence in my work brings joy and nourishment to people’s lives. I’m inspired by the raw reality of everyday life; the fleeting beauty in the mundane and day-to-day moments we take for granted. I want those who see my photographs to feel the emotions and energy captured in them, and relate to the situations they depict. My goal is to seize not only the epic, but also subtle and evocative moments and capture them forever as a collection of snapshots of our lives.

Photography has always been in my soul, from when I was a young child begging for a point and shoot camera, to my first year in college when I discovered the beauty of film. I have always been fascinated by the ability to capture a split second to keep for eternity. Those split seconds of emotion and expression are what captivates me the most; the subtle changes in someone’s face and the shine in their eyes are incredibly beautiful to me. My love of emotion, coupled with my hopeless romantic nature, led me to wedding photography. After all, there’s no better place to encapsulate authentic emotion than one of the most important days of someone’s life

Two years after I bought my first camera I found my self not only photographing my first wedding but also attending my very first wedding as well. I remember I was there in this room with people who I didn’t know but I was welcomed with open arms. Together for eight hours we shared our feelings, I cried when they cried, their smiles made me smile. I could feel the love well up from within me. It was at that moment I realized photography was bigger than me. It wasn’t about just capturing moments that were happening but it was more about expressing the feelings of the day, my duty was to translate those feelings into a visual story that could not only be seen but felt for the rest of eternity.

My name is Desiree & I’m the face behind Elkk Photography! I have been shooting weddings professionally for 5 years now & my favorite part of the day is getting to know my couples & their families. Taking the time to connect with my clients is what allows me to take the genuine, fun, & emotion filled portraits that I’m known for. Your final photos will show your day as it unfolds in a very true to life way from the funny moments to the quirks to all the happy tears. I’d love to take the time to chat with you, talk a little bit more about my wedding process & see if we’re a good fit!
Samantha Cronk SC Beauty
Ever since I opened my eyes for the first time in this life, I have seen the world through a creative lens. The gift of art was bestowed on me by my Creator and I incorporate it in every aspect of my life from drawing, to cooking, to making music, in my work, and at home, as a mother and a wife. Choosing the medium of Hair and Makeup as the art to make my living only seemed natural. With 9 years experience in the industry, and the recent launch of SC Beauty, my on-site event hair and makeup business, I am sure to bring you the customized look you desire for your special day. I see every face and every head of hair as a unique and perfected creation, and I only aim to enhance that beauty, not cover it. Bringing joy to the world is an innate desire of mine, and my calling is to accomplish that by helping to make everyone I touch, look and feel like their most beautiful self.
